Frequently asked questions

What is Daily Inspection Alert?

A daily email for pest control companies. Each morning we pull official health inspection records for the cities we cover and send you the restaurants and food businesses that were cited for pests, so you can reach them while they still need help.

Where does the data come from?

From public records published by city, county and state health departments, such as the City of Chicago Data Portal, the NYC Department of Health and the New York State Department of Health. Each city page names its source and shows the latest inspection date we have.

How much does it cost?

Three plans, each per city per month. Directory Listing is $14.99: a priority listing in our public pest control directory and quote requests from restaurant owners. Daily Alerts is $49: the daily list of restaurants cited for pests. Alerts + Featured is $99: the daily list plus a Featured spot at the top of your city page, limited to 3 companies per city. Cancel any time.

Do you offer a refund?

Yes. If it is not useful, ask within 14 days of your first payment and we refund it in full.

Is the list shared with other companies?

Yes. Everyone subscribed to the same city receives the same list. Featured spots in each city are limited so the directory stays useful for restaurant owners.

Is every record the same kind?

Not quite. Most cities list restaurants cited for pests in a routine inspection. Florida lists restaurants the state shut down on an emergency closure order for pest activity, which is more serious. Each city page and every list says which kind it is.

Which cities do you cover?

We currently cover Chicago, New York City, Upstate New York, Cincinnati, Seattle and King County, San Francisco, Sacramento County, Las Vegas, Boston, Florida, and add cities as their inspection data proves fresh and reliable. We never sell a city whose data is stale, and any city running more than a week behind is marked Delayed.

Do the lists include phone numbers?

Only where the city publishes them. New York City and Cincinnati records include a phone number. Others give the business name and address.

What is Exclusive City Alerts?

Exclusive City Alerts is $299 per month for one city. You are the only paying company in that city that gets the instant alerts, plus the 7 AM list. Only one company can hold it per city. When it is taken the city shows Sold Out for Exclusive and you can join a waitlist, and the shared Daily Alerts plans are not sold in a city that has an Exclusive buyer.

Can restaurant owners use this too?

Yes. If your restaurant needs pest control, use the request form on your city page and your request goes to the pest companies listed there.
